Tata Steel Jamshedpur organizes river cleanup and planting campaign to mark Earth Day

Jamshedpur, April 22: Tata Steel celebrated Earth Day today, reiterating its commitment to sustainability and enabling a greener future.

Chanakya Choudhary, VP Corporate Services Tata Steel participated in a planting campaign in the Sidhgora area of ​​Jamshedpur in addition to participating in a “forest trail” on the side of Marine Drive.

During the week, several activities were organized to mark the occasion. This includes a river clean-up campaign at Domuhani and Gandhi Ghat on April 18 by the volunteers. In addition, students from various schools in the city, including Chinmaya and JH Tarapore, also participated in the Earth Day celebration activities. Tata Steel also ran an Earth Day pledge campaign asking individual employees to share their contributions in the form of planting/home garden photographs showing how they invest their time and effort in preserving the planet. Quiz, photo contest, etc. were also organised.
