Missouri Botanical Garden’s Garden Glow opens Saturday
ST. LOUIS – One of the most vibrant holiday displays is almost ready to light up your life.
The Garden Glow opens at the Missouri Botanical Garden this weekend for its ninth year.
The display of over a million lights begins on Saturday, November 13 and continues through January 8. You can meet Santa and enjoy s’mores.
Here, work began at the beginning of August, long before many of us thought of vacation. Crews have spent countless hours transforming the already beautiful gardens into a magical winter wonderland.
This St. Louis family tradition will continue with many of the favorite exhibits of years past, but it also includes a brand new installation called “Springtime.” It consists of 100 custom lilies specially designed for this event, with approximately 40 lights per lily all dancing to a custom soundtrack. The idea behind it was to bring a bit of spring into the glow.
Tickets cost between $14 and $20 for ages 13 and up and between $3 and $8 for ages 3 to 12.
