EDF offers advance sale for 5th annual landscaping camp – The Oxford Eagle

Vassallo said each year has been a huge success as campers indulge their passion for outdoor spaces and field trips, receiving the best advice from McManus and other botanical experts as well as tips and tricks on how to do the same at home.

The camp is designed to include practical tips, low-maintenance techniques, and creative approaches to beautifying landscapes of any size. Landscape Camp was also designed to encourage tourists to consider Oxford as their next destination.

Landscaping Campers tell it like it is. According to the EDF, they obtained “excellent scores” in our last four camp surveys and wish to continue this success.

The memorial weekend with McManus speaker roster includes Wendy Carmean, owner of Plantscaper from Wend & Willow Florals, she will be speaking on “Front Porch Curb Appeal”; Ken Hackman, Zoological Field Studies Coordinator for Madison Central High School, will focus on “Gardening for Birds”; while Karen Travillo, Lafayette County Master Gardener, will educate our campers on “attractive, non-invasive, fast-growing vines”.

To top it off, an exclusive tour will also take place on the route of the famous double-decker bus to Bo and Jodie Marsalis’ beautiful landscaped home, inspired by McManus, and campers will be able to explore the historic sites of the city of Oxford on-going. of road.
